This has been probably the most difficult start to the academic year at the university and at the school where I work as a full time resource teacher for (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) DHH adolescents. The prospect of having to be a “leader” online is quite daunting as I am already a leader in the Deaf community at the local, provincial and national levels, a doctoral student, and launching an innovative art and literacy program for struggling learners at my school. So, the idea of blogging, twitter, and numerous online activities is a bit overwhelming at this point when I am already blitzed with emails. requests, and reading! Nonetheless, I always enjoy a challenge. I’m looking forward to getting on board with the rest of you!
